A new video provides a virtual tour of NAC’s state-of-the-art training for young people who are seeking jobs in manufacturing. Titled the Manufacturing Smart Programme, the training uses the latest Apple technologies and a simulated work environment to provide all the necessary skills.

The NAC Group is pleased to announce the recruitment of 80 new apprentices. The young people concerned are all working for NAC Outsourcing and they will undertake an apprenticeship lasting between two and five years. Recruitment to the posts started in November last year.

Nissan will invest £250 million at its Sunderland plant to manufacture a new small luxury car. The model, which is known as Infiniti, has been designed to appeal to buyers in Europe.

Jaguar Land Rover has announced plans for the further expansion of production at its Solihull plant in the West Midlands. 6,000 staff are already employed at the plant manufacturing the Range Rover Discovery and Defender models. Record sales were achieved in 2012, including an increase of over 70% in the company’s sales to China.

The NAC Group’s business relationship with Unipres, the Washington-based manufacturer of automotive components, has continued to strengthen and grow.
NAC Outsourcing operates a managed service provision for Unipres, currently employing 60 people, but this is planned to rise significantly over the coming months.

The NAC Group has joined forces with Steep GmbH, a Bonn-based service provider, to offer comprehensive support across the automotive sector. Together, the NAC Group and Steep will be able to provide services for manufacturing and logistics operations, right through to sales and aftercare.
